Team Chevrolet Singapore has provided a reliable platform for every member to communicate, share, discuss and learn from each other. Unfortunately, I noticed that there are a small handful of members here beginning to take Team Chevrolet Singapore for granted and treat it as their personal playground.
It must be pointed out that there are users here who are blatantly going against the grain and the spirit of this forum by choosing to post pointless, sarcastic and un-necessary remarks. And when asked nicely to refrain from doing so, these members would ask why is someone else doing it and they are not allowed to do so, or mind your business etc. I view this as being absurd and childish. This mentality of "I'm doing it cos it's a free forum for all" isn't going to help this forum grow. All of you have seen how other forums are degenerating and members are being drawn into petty flame wars. I'm proud to say that Team Chevrolet Singapore has yet to become like that but over time, it might. A lot of good things are happening for a lot of people here and i don't think the majority wants this place to degenerate.
So, one way or another, a line has to be drawn somewhere. We simply cannot allow a slow degeneration to take place and have this forum fester until it starts to rot. Irregardless of whatever the reason, I urge everyone to: -
1. Be Nice and Be Civilised - abusing, name-calling, personal attacks on members and/or generally trying to stir up trouble will not be tolerated. Be kind to newbies as they may not know the general flow of the forums. Repeatedly violation of this rule will result in banishment.
2. Spam - We will not tolerate posting of the same message to two or more forums. Any such posts will be merged or deleted and repeated abuse will result in banishment.
3. Flaming / Personal Attacks - We will not tolerate abusive, malicious, personal attacks or self-promoting messages. Please refer to Point #1. Repeated abuse will result in banishment.
4. Trolls - We will not tolerate anyone antagonising other forum members by posting potentially inflammatory messages. See Point #1. Repeated abuse will result in banishment. Do not participate in a thread merely to criticize other forum members in the thread, where the result can serve only to insult and inflame regular participants in that topic area.
5. Harassment - Harassment of other forum members via Private Message, postings, emails or other means will result in immediate banishment and if serious enough, may be reported to the relevant authorities for their further investigation.
6. Off-Topic (OT) posts - Please direct all posts to the respective forum. OT posts will be deleted or moved without noticed if posted in any other forums. Posts/threads which are:
- - religious,
- political,
- racist;
I hope everyone understands why we take such a firm stance against such behavior and we seek your understanding in this matter.
This has got to stop.
